An arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove loose hanging skin and excess fat deposits that reside in the upper arm.  These conditions are common after weight loss, or they may be related to poor skin elasticity in the upper arm.

Sagging upper arms and excess skin will often make a person very self-conscious about his or her appearance.  Patients that benefit from an arm lift often say they feel limited in their clothing choices due to the appearance of their arms.

If you want to tighten the skin of this area, ask Dr. Peterson about brachioplasty. He may suggest that liposuction be used alone or in conjunction with removal of skin to tighten this area and provide slimmer arms.
